19. High Street 1930 looking south.

20. A water-colour of the charming Baptist Church, painted in 1865. Many artists are attracted to Aldeburgh by the wonderfullight over the marshes.

21. High Street further south, showing the Old Custom House (with steps). Some of these houses are very old indeed. The road is unpaved, muddy in winter and dusty in summer.

26. lnfants' class, Aldeburgh Primary School 1901.

27. Staff at Aldeburgh Primary School 1901.

28. Crespigny House, one of the earliest large houses to be built in Aldeburgh. It has been successively a private house, a school, an old people's home, and is now being divided up into five private houses. This nineteenth-century print shows a cricket match of visitors versus the school, which the school won 109 to 96.
